It covers activities related to rights management, monetisation, data collection and analysis…, “Greener” practices in order to lower the impact on the environment of the audiovisual and other cultural sectors.YesYesYesD-Share proposes a novel blockchain-based platform to streamline financial transactions in the event industry. This project aligns with the EU's priority to accelerate the digital transition in cultural sectors and embrace innovative technologies. Our aim is to enhance the efficiency of event management through a trustless, escrowed payment system, leveraging blockchain for transparent revenue sharing and conditional payments.
The platform will allow event organizers or cinema, theaters or concert hall to automate and secure payments to artists and suppliers, with features like commission-based artist remuneration tied to ticket sales. This approach not only ensures financial fairness but also fosters inclusivity by supporting diverse stakeholders in the global event and cultural industry.

By utilizing a carbon-negative blockchain (Polygon), D-Share also contributes to the EU's sustainability objectives. Our focus is on creating a new business model that promotes transparency, efficiency, and economic sustainability in the cultural sector, thereby responding to the EU's call for innovative digital solutions in the creative industries.

Additionally, D-Share will incorporate a feature allowing event organizers to select an NGO or association dedicated to a specific marginalized group to benefit from a portion of the revenues. This flexible approach ensures that each event can directly contribute to supporting diverse communities, ranging from disadvantaged youth to refugees and people with disabilities, aligning each transaction with significant social objectives.

Our project is anchored in the vision of D-Event, initially conceptualized as a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform specifically tailored for the event industry. This vision aims to transform how events are organized, financed, and managed, leveraging the principles of DeFi to foster a more inclusive, transparent, and replicable ecosystem where even a community can bootstrap an event.
